On Wednesday, 19th June, 2024, we were delighted to welcome team vicar Revd Melissa Carter as our focal minister. Melissa already had a strong, long-standing connection with Charlton Church and we feel extremely fortunate that she is now able to devote more of her time to her work here and at St Andrew's Church in Buckland. Melissa felt called to be a priest in her late teens but before training was encouraged to get some life experience. After working as a legal secretary Melissa was ordained in 2016 and joined the Dover Town Team in September 2019. Melissa is married to Antony. In their spare time they enjoy walking and exploring the countryside.

		VACANCY! CAN YOU WRITE, TYPE AND EMAIL?   NEEDED! SOMEBODY TO TAKE THE MINUTES AT PCC MEETINGS!   A few times a year, the church council (PCC) meets on a Sunday morning to discuss things.   Our secretary has resigned after 25 years, so now we’re seeking a volunteer to take on this role.   Initially, we need somebody simply to take notes of what’s said, type up the Minutes and send them to our lovely priest, Revd Melissa Carter.   The next meeting is in January.   If you have spare time and would like to help your local church in this key role as a volunteer, please get in touch with Camilla. 07578 220209
